Hi Joceley,
a litte add-on to your suggestion using SE63 - logical obj.
This function has up to 6.20 at least a very poor performance.
A OSS-request committed to this and no solution of this bug where done
(caused by changes to unicode Transaltion-Tools).
A workaround is to use SE63 - Enter T as function-code in the
transaction-field of the GUI (ENTER) - and key in the TRansport-Object =
(e.g.
R*TR PDTS TS9xxnnnnnn.
This way is faster but you have much less functionality.
maybe it helps and maybe SAP will improve the SE63-way to be usable by
professionals.
Heinz

Put a note into OSS - it would be worth getting this explained once for
everyone. Also have a look at some of the options in SE63. In WAS =
systems
"lockable logical objects" is worth a try as a lot of miscellaneous =
doco
ends up in there. Just search on your task number only i.e. *99999999* =
and
you should find it. You'll find there are multiple selections e.g.
PDTS10008069 02
PDTS10008069 06
PDTS10008069 08
PDTS10008069 13
In my system 06 is the work item text and 13 is the long text - but not =
sure
if this was the same in 4.6B and I don't currently have access to a =
4.6B
system. So have a look around.=20
However it actually is easier to logon in the relevant language and use
PFTC_DIS (for SAP provided tasks) or PFTC_CHG (for custom tasks) to =
change
the long text - as this gives you a better editor to work with.

Hello Michael,
Proposal:
Logon to each one of the languages and change the "Obj. abreviation" =
and
"Obj. description"
with PFTC_CHG.
This will create a transport request.
Or go the "back-door" and change the content of the table-fields via =
SE16.
This will NOT create a transport request.
Best regards
Viveka

Hi,
table hrs1000 shows attributes, for interest here =3D> task attributes.
Lang Userid obj. abr. Obj. desc. Changed

TS 90000039 EN ZWAANS PhaseOut03 Phase Out Step 30 =

TS 90000039 TR DAEHNHARDT PhaseOut03 Phase Out Step 03 =

Does anyone know how to change for the task
"Obj. abreviation" and "Obj. description"
in the other languages than EN?
(you see that a transport was done 21.5.2003)
Michael
