Can all standard SAPMAILS be shown as workitems in SBWP?

Hi Sunni,
There are some iviews related to showing mail inbox lists. It would
still give you two different lists with two iviews but worth investigating
as a better alternative than SBWP or even BWSP. I believe some new iviews have
been added with EP6.0 around this area so check iviewstudio.com for the latest info.

I guess the other question is whether they need SAPmails at all - many customers
use Outlook, Lotus, etc. in which case the best option is to use transaction SO16 to
send all mails straight to their normal email outbox. The portal also has some
iviews for viewing groupware inboxes.

Last alternative is to create a custom version of BWSP - the web inbox - that
hides everything except the mail view. This is similarly to what has been done in SRM.

Jocelyn.

Thanks for your replies. I told the client the same. The client is using
the Enterprise Portal which has a standard iview for viewing workitems but
nothing for viewing SAPmails. To view SAPmails they have to click on an
'e'-view of SBWP and then look there, which they don't like doing. Thats
why they wanted SAPmails shown in the iview for workflow workitems. Hence
the request.

It is possible to generate sapmails from workitems with some config (as when
linking workitems to an email client), so that's why I optimistically
thought there may just be something available the other way around.

Cheers
Sunni
