Exception Handling

HI Peggy,
Once you can see the exceptions in the Outcome tab of your workflow step, all you need to do is activate them by pressing the activation button - by default the are inactive (grey diamond icon). This adds them to the workflow flowchart.
If you are not seeing your new exceptions, try the following:
Retype the task id in the control tab and press enter. This should be enough to pick up the new values.

Thank you all. I didn't know that I cannot see the exceptions in the
standard task itself, but in the outcomes in the workflow step. My BOR is ok
and updated with all exceptions coming from the fm. Do you know how I can
update these exceptions in the workflow step (the '+ insert line' is not
working here)? Initially I had just one Exception. This one I can see in the
outcomes but the new ones not.

(BIT610 does not contain any errorhandling. I've been on that course. But it
would be nice to add this.)

Peggy

You also need to remember to create the exception by pressing the
'Exceptions' button whilst you have your method selected - set up the
exception number, type, and what message and number it should be linked to.

If you are doing this sort of BOR coding then try also reading the help
files where there are examples or if this is not enough then try to get on a
BIT610 / BC610 workflow programming course.

Hi Peggy,

If I'm correct then the exceptions defined in your method should be
displayed on tab page 'Outcomes' for the
step in your workflow. Additionally you have to raise the actual
exception(s) in your method using the following
code:

   * EXIT_RETURN <exception> <additional parameters>
