Good Morning Christiana,

another way is to create the needed Event yourself.
You can use the BTE-Exits for this. SAP has placed a note (497874) what
BTE's for BKPF/FIPP are foreseen (e.g. 00002213 for Preposting 00001030 =
for
posting),.
I myself is using the OpenFI Events for serveral WF's to create =
different
WF-Events in our ALE and IDOC Environment.

Maybe it helps.

Greetings

Heinz

G'day all,

doing the config in the IMG and setting the checkbox for Posting =
Release
worked great. However, every parked document now has the flag 'Release
nc.' checked and the posting button is not available. That means that
every parked document is suppose to go through a workflow to be =
released
for payment.

My workflow is only to be started when the document is parked via the =
IDoc
i.e. if a common user manually parks an FI document my workflow should =
not
start.

I am thinking that I will have do write a function module that will =
check
who parked the document and if the workflow is not to be started =
(because
it is manually parked) then the function module will have to set the
parked document release flag in the header, so the posting function is
available?

Any other ideas? Am I missing something here?

Much thanks and regards

Cristiana

Thanks Abby,

worked like a charm! I was just concerned about the need or not to do =
all
the standard config in the IMG.

Cheers

To get FIPP.Created to be published you need to do SOME of the standard
config in the IMG (note: you don't need to do all.) And you can still
use your custom workflow - all you have to do is de-activate the event
linkage to the standard workflow.

Configuration that is required:
Within the IMG, go to Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and
Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Incoming Invoices and =
Credit
Memos -> Carry out and Check Settings for Document Parking -> Create
Workflow Variant for Parking Document

In the details of your variant there is a box for Preliminary Posting
Release. Click the checkbox for Posting Release. Then the event will =
be
raised.

Hope that helps -
Abby :)

Subject: Publishing events in FI (FIPP.CREATED)

G'day all,

we are in 4.6c

if I want to publish event FIPP.CREATED do I have to do configuration =
in
the IMG (Financial Accounting > Fin Accounting Global Settings > =
Document
> Document Parking) even if I don't want to use the standard delivered =
SAP
workflows? I mean, it is a must to create a workflow variant for =
parking
documents and assign it to the company code?

Would it be enough to only create an entry in BF34 for event 00002213?

We are going to implement a solution where the users will scan the
invoices into SAP, will FIPP.CREATED be published ?

Any hints on the EDI / FI workflow implementation will be more than
welcome!

Thanks and regards

Cristiana
