You can also trigger a workflow via output determination using type 8
for special function. There is a separate type for workflow but it
didn't the last time I tried in 4.6C. I think the SAP documentation
confirms this which specifies type 8. This will require you to create a
form where you can put the SWE_EVENT_CREATE function module to start
your workflow. This is documentation on how to do this and I believe
there is also a sample program.

program is
triggered by output determination that builds an Idoc and submits a BAPI
to
create the credit memo.  I'm a novice a workflow so I don't know if the
same
can be done easier with workflow or not.

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has done something similar to
this
scenario:
On Invoice Save (BKPF object) - Automatically create two related
documents
- Credit Memo Request (BUS2094) and Debit Memo Request (BUS2029).  The
purpose is to trigger automatic commission payment from an invoice.
Any help is appreciated.
