Decision steps and background tasks 4.6c

I have a decision step for Approve / Reject / Print data.
For the Print data, I want it to print in the background and 
keep the decision step on the screen. 
Right now, I select the Print data, then the decision step 
disappears and I have to go back into the workplace, refresh, then 
select the task again. I don't want to do all this. Just print in the 
background and leave the decision step in focus.
 
Any assistance would be appreciated...
