Workflow Passive Substitution

Hi Maorriyan,
You say your passive substitution is not working.
I'm concerned you may be misunderstanding the difference between active and passive substitution.
You may find it helpful to try the following suggestions:

Firstly try changing the substitution from PASSIVE to ACTIVE. The substitution should be in HRUS_D2 from the original user id to the substitute user id for ALL tasks and for the relevant dates.
This will make the original user's work items IMMEDIATELY appear in the substitute's inbox - like email auto-forwarding.
This will also tell you if you have the substitution relationship between the two users set up correctly.

If active substitution works then swap from ACTIVE back to PASSIVE substitution.
Here the original user's work items DO NOT immediately appear in the substitute's inbox.
The substitute must use the ADOPT SUBSTITUTION option in their inbox and select the original user to look at the
original user's work items. This adopt substitution is always off when then enter their inbox, so they only
see the original user's work items on request.

Does that make it any clearer for you?
Hopefully following the test sequence above will clarify the difference between active and passive.

One simple suggestion I'm Still using :
Generate a view from table HRUS_D2
Create a transaction for this view

If one staff is sick, just execute the transaction and enter the
information.

Hi..Phil,
I don't understand why your suggestion is not working.
I have structure organization as follow:
Top (1st level) approver has position id 300000039
2nd level approver has position id 30000041
The creator of the document is below 2nd level approver which position id is
30000042.
Jocelyn,
I have maintain table HRUS_D2 as you mentioned a couple days ago.
But still, the passive substitution is not working.
Any body facing this problem before ?
Is there specific configuration I have done ?

Hi Werner,

You don't have to maintain directly HRUS_D2 but you can use function module
RH_SUBSTITUTES_LIST to maintain personal substitutes directly.

BTW, I think it better to use PP01 and relationship A&210, but the workflow
must be directed to a position for this to work.
