Maorriyan,
You could also create a Positional substitution in the Organization
Structure via transaction PPOME. We are running on SAP version 4.6C
1. Select the Position you want to create a substitution for.
Double-click on the position. Goto => Detail Object => Enhanced Object
description.
2. Select Relationships as the infotype name, select Create.
3. Validity Date From, Validity Date To
Relationship Type = A 210
Type of Related Object = S Position
Id of related object = Position Number
4. Save
5. Substitution Active Checkbox (optional)

Hi Werner,
You don't have to maintain directly HRUS_D2 but you can use function
module
RH_SUBSTITUTES_LIST to maintain personal substitutes directly.
BTW, I think it better to use PP01 and relationship A&210, but the
workflow
must be directed to a position for this to work.
