Replacing the work items

Hi Ram,
A good place to start looking for function modules is listing SAP_WAPI* FM's which form the 'official' API. The one you're after is:
SAP_WAPI_PUT_BACK_WORKITEM     Workflow Interfaces: Replace Work Item
