Highlights and underline texts do not work with SENDTASKDESCRIPTION method

Since I had not heard any response from the group I had written to SAP about
this.  SAP's response was that - "since in R/3 you can see the highlights
and underline when you do a Print or Print Review from the task description
screen then the problem is not in R/3 but in Lotus Notes".
 
But it is not just Lotus Notes- none of this formatting is working in
Outlook or any other internet address.  I believe that the in R/3 task
description we are using SAPscript to do the highlighting and underline.
Does that translation get lost when you are using the email step.
 
Would appreciate any thoughts on this matter?

Hi all,
 
I have a step in my workflow where I am using SELFITEM and
SENDTASKDESCRIPTION and sending an email to an internet address.  I have the
message written in the "task description" tab and specified some text as
highlighted and some underlined with the "character format" button on that
screen.
 
When I execute a print preview or a print right on the task the text does
show up as highlighted and underlined. But when the agent receives an email
in their lotus inbox with that text neither the highlight nor the underline
shows up.  The text shows up without the underline and highlight.
 
What am I missing.  Do I need to specify something somewhere?
