SAPScript Attachment in background

Ahmet,

The smartform functionality will send the OTF email for you, so you do =
not have to attach it. You do have to tap into it by creating a method =
that calls the smartform function modules so the trick is to provide the =
right input for the standard and generated SM function modules.=20

This sounds a bit easier then it is as you have to create sender- and =
receiver objects as well, but it does allow you to use the power of the =
smartforms functionality to generate very professionally looking and =
very maintainable workflow generated correspondence; including logo's, =
pictures, tables, extensive situation-sensitive text and any piece of =
data stored in the SAP system.=20

Regards,

Jeroen

Jeroen,

I'll try the conversion in tr. SCOT but shouldn't I first have to find a =
way
, to attach the Smart form or Sapscript to the SEND MAIL task ? I think =
then
the attachments with the sapscript or smartform will be converted to PDF
during sending in SCOT ? Am I right ?

Regards

Ahmet

Ahmet,

Yes, just set the conversion settings in transaction SCOT. That is how =
we
sent out all our smartform mail (OTF to PDF conversion); but you can =
easily
do this with standard text to PDF as well.

Jeroen

Is there way to convert it automatically to PDF and then send it via =
email ?
The company wants the invoice for the customer (which will be a =
sapscript or
smart form) to be sent to the customer automatically via an attachment
(after several approve steps in workflow- I managed to do the approve =
steps
but then I have to find a way to get the right sapscript that =
corresponds to
the current SD document and then attach it to the mail then send it to
customer). That's why I want to do it in the background. Actually, I =
don't
know this is even possible or not ?

Ahmet

No I don't but I haven't played around a lot in this area as yet.

Presumably with smartforms you could generate a document and then send =
it.

Why not put a query in to OSS?
Jocelyn

Jocelyn,

Thanks for the answer, but I thought object STD_TEXT is used for texts =
only,
I want to attach the whole SAPScript form to the mail and send it. Is =
this
possible ? By the way do you know a solution for the same problem but =
this
time for SmartForms ?

Regards

Ahmet
