Before Jocelyn jumps in saying buy the book (coz she wrote it), I would
say buy the book. If your superiors don't sanction the spending of
those precious company dollars, buy it yourself (most countries - a tax
deduction). Changing from WF and T to WS and TS isn't really a big
deal, you just have to recreate your tasks and templates. Of more
concern with the upgrade is any changes to the business object programs.
Look at the methods and objects involved and see whether they are
continued into <insert mystery version number here>.

Cheers,

Paul

Hello all

I have to try and convince my superiors that 'Practical Workflow for
SAP' is worth investing in.

We are currently on version 3.1I of SAP but will be upgrading in the not
too distant future, to what version ? - as yet unknown.

The questions I have been asked are :

What versions does the book cover? Does it apply to our current version?
Does it cover upgrades?

I have a particular concern in respect of upgrades because we currently
use Workflow Tasks (WF) and Customer Tasks (T) which are no longer
used/supported from version 4.5.

Is converting from Workflow Tasks and Customer Tasks to Workflow
Templates and Standard Tasks complicated and is it covered in the book?

Would you reccommend that we convert from Workflow Tasks to Workflow
Templates etc. while still on version 3.1I well in advance of an
upgrade?

If so, has anyone out there down this ?

Thanks in advance,

Elizabeth Smith
