Display TIF documents in ECL control

Hi Workflowers,
 
I am going to prepare a Workflow integrated with document imaging.
 
My main problem currently is how to display the archived image (tif format)
directly within the SAPgui with the so calles ECL control.
 
The documentation says you can do that, but details about 'how to' are
missing. Did anybody of you customized that ?
 
I expect ECL control has to be defined as an application in the transaction
OAA4 and than this application has to be assigned to the protocol in OAA3.
 
It is not directly Workflow, but imaging is very often integrated with
Workfow, I hope somebody may have a tip.
