Material Master Workflow

Dear All,
Today we have a workflow outside SAP; all material views are created at the
same time, by one person. Then checked/changed by persons responsible for
the individual views. How do I get different kind of information into a
similar workflow in SAP (rel. 4.6C) - e.g. Plant, for which the material is
created and data from other material tables than MARA. (MARC - MARD etc.)
 
Im am quite new in workflow, but have BC601.
