Deadline - waiting tasks

thanks for your reply Jeroen,

1. I will have a look for this, sounds good
2. I am not sure how to restart the workflows when they are not in error,
(I have never done this before)????

One of the abap programmers in here looked at the code and he said that the
deadline monitoring job SWWDHEX seems to be using two tables;
SWWWIDEADL - Deadline Data for Work Items
SWWWIDH - Table for Deadline Monitoring of Work Items

The work item seems to stay in the status of waiting until it is cleared
from SWWWIDH which it is then released to be processed, if we can put in
the missing details do you think it would release the suspended work items
to be processed???? Has anyone tried this????

Thanks,

Hi Shane,

1. Deactivation of the deadline monitoring job can happen when it collides
with a particular other job. There is a note for this which prevents it
from happening. Implement this ASAP.

2. We had to restart the stopped workflows (everything that was waiting for
a deadline to be reached at the time) manually. Not much fun.

Regards,

Jeroen

Subject: Deadline - waiting tasks

Hiya,

I have a problem with deadlines on my Annual Leave with HTML workflow,
usually I would search the archives for a solution before annoying anyone
but the site seems to be down.

The Annual Leave with HTML (WS20000081) calls another workflow to lock an
employee record - Find employee and lock (WS1200003).
The standard task within this workflow Lock Employee (TS20000150) has a
requested start deadline set up of one minute.

Before this deadline is reached it is in a process of waiting, however my
problem is that somehow on the 6th of March the scheduled job for deadline
monitoring was turned off, I only reactivated it on the 14th of March.

But this has resulted in a large number of the above tasks stuck in a
waiting process, is there any way I can execute them so they will complete,
I thought turning the scheduled job back on would have completed them but
it has not.
I will be looking into why the job was stopped and making sure it doesn't
happen again, but I am lost with the "waiting tasks"
Any ideas????

Thanks,
