Hi Chris,
I assume that you have checked that ABSENCE is NOT delegated to a custom subtype which has errors?
If it is delegated to a custom subtype with errors, either fix the errors or remove the delegation.

If the problem really is the standard ABSENCE business object then please have a look for OSS notes, and if
you can't find any report it in to OSS.

Subject: Absence.Created event not occurred at R/3 Enterprise

Dear SAP,

First of all, our system is R/3 Enterprise.

I created a absence data (infotype 2001) at pa30.
And I expect the absence.created event will be created at the system.
But no event occurred.
After some analysis of the systoms,
I found that the absence object type could not be instantiatied.
If I do to instantiat a object, there is a abap dump.
I found that needed customizations are already done
through SWEHR1, SWEHR2 transaction.

I tested same things at the 46C system.
But a object could be instantiated at there.
And the absence.created event is occurred also.

Who experienced like this at the R/3 Enterprise?
