Confirmation emails in 4.70 Enterprise

Hi fellow workflowers -=20
 
I'm encountering a strange phenomena in the Business Workplace in 4.70 =
(Enterprise).  Every time an email is sent a confirmation email is =
generated to the sender, and another confirmation email is sent when the =
email is read.  Is there a way to turn off this setting globally?  Any =
help would be appreciated.
