here is just a 'thinking-model' I have discussed in a project but note, =
it
was not implemented or tested by myself.
 
In earlier days SAP has a Tollkit 'SAPFORMS' for some workflowtasks to =
do on
clients based on a MAPI-Connection.
But this is history, ther is a hot-news-message in OSS-Notes since same =
days
that MAPI and SAPFORMS will not be longer supported (for XP it was =
never
supported).
 
Now my modell:
 
Send an mail to an internetadress out of workflow should be possible, =
ther
where some discussions in this list begin of the year. Adding a =
file-based
document is possible in generel, but depends on the used content =
repository.
 
Now the question  how to get an answer being processed in SAP without =
an
SAP-User.
 
My idee is to use the possibility 'Sending to an Object'. This can be =
done
by gateway-forwarding to an Object based on if-object 'IFRECEIVE'.
this receiving object must have a method to pick up the informations =
from
the incoming mail (e.g. key and defined keywords for action ) and =
process
it.
 
But how I sayed, oly a thinking-model.

Hi all
 
I am setting up an Invoice approval workflow where the majority of
Approvers will be non SAP users. They will want to use Outlook as their
mail client, and be able to view the image of the scanned invoice from
their mail client and then reject or approve, i.e receive a SAP =
Workitem.
 
I believe that in order to receive a SAP workitem an approver would =
have to
be a SAP user ?
 
Could a non sap user simply receive an email from within the SAP =
workflow,
but it would be for info only and not allow any approve / reject action =
?
and no URL link to an image
 
Any advice on the approach would be welcomed.
