Service Notifcations- SAP Provided Workflows and howtos

I have to develop a new workflow for the business object BUS2080A (Customer Service Notifications).
 
But before that I went to the img to see if there are any preexisting Workflows for Curstomer Service notifications.  Please see path below.
(SPRO- IMG->Plant maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Maintenance And Service Notifications->Notification Processing->Set workflow for Service Notifications.)
 
Questions:
1.  What are these workflows and what do they do?
 
2.  Has anybody used these and any experiences of how tos to go forward.
