Task is hanging

Dear all,
 
I am currently working on workflow mechanism linked to outbound idocs
processing.
In standard, SAP triggers a standard task TS00008070 each time an outbound
idoc fails with syntax error (status 26) : this is customized
through transaction WE40 (Code EDIX - Type 2 ). As I would like to trigger
a specific workflow for the outbound idocs failed with syntax
error, I have assigned a specific workflow to code EDIX (type 1 this time)
through WE40.
This specific workflow is customized to start with a specific task
(background task) based on specific object ZIDOCAPPL (subtype of IDOCAPPL)
and on method ErrorProcess (redefined within the specific object).
Depending on the result of that task, either the workflow ends or the
standard task TS00008070 is triggered.
However, it does not work ...
As soon as an outbound idoc fails with syntax error, my specific workflow
is well triggered but unfortunately nothing is done : my first task
seems to be started according to workflow log but it hangs in status 'in
process' and no action is no more done and the workflow hangs
in status 'STARTED' :

Does anyone have an idea where the issue/ the mistake could come from ?
