Cannot get _Rule_Result into WF container element

R/3 Release: Enterprise 6.20
 
I am binding the _Rule_Result from the rule container to a workflow
container. The rule successfully returns agents but the WF container
element is not getting populated with the results. I have tried this with
both SAP standard rules as well as custom rules. Has any one had any
success getting the _Rule_Result values?
