SENDTASKDESCRIPTION with internet address

Have you configured transaction SCOT ?
No INTERNET NODE no mail outbound....
If scot is configured, and RSCONN01 has been run.
Then check SOST.
 
The internet mail gateway may not be set up correctly at OS level.
Ask yo OS support GURU to cheek the trace level of.
 
mlsomadm mailgw.ini
 
There the tracelevel and file for the trace is defined.
With AL11 you can look at the trace file.

What are you passing to ADDRESSSTRINGS? If you use TYPEID 'U', you need =
to pass an email address to it.=20
If the users who should receive the email have a username in SAP, it is =
easier to send it to a TYPEID 'G' and pass a username (preceded by US) =
to ADDRESSSTRING. Then you can set-up auto forwarding of SAP Office to =
an internet email address for these users (transaction SO36) so that =
they will finally
receive the message on their normal email.

another question concerning SENDTASKDESCRIPTION:
 
I want to send a mail using SENDTASKDESCRIPTION - but it must be a mail =
to an internet address!
 
I tried several possibilites in the binding WF->task: TYPEID 'G' is =
always working but only sends mail to SAPOffice. When I use TYPEID 'U' =
my workflow always gets to status 'error'.
 
Any ideas?
 
We are on 4.6B and user SAP internet mail gateway.
