Tried that, it the decides to use the task name instead...=20

Hi all,
I've looked in the archives, searched the web, gone through 'the book' and
yet can't find the answer to a seemingly simple requirement:
I have a number of steps that use the same task, and would like to display
the Workflow step description instead of the task's text. Basically it
should work the same way as a user decision step which does not have a text,
but takes it from the workflow definition.
 
Could someone please point out where I'm (hopefully) missing something
obvious?
 
I know I could define container elements and pass those to the task, but
that's a bit excessive for my purposes, as well as extra maintenance which
is not really necessary. Language is also not an issue.
