Error in User Exit

Dear Workflowers,
 
I want to use a user exit to start wf for a travel request. I wrote a small program to do that and everything works fine in foreground. The way it works is: I call a function module "popup_to_confirm_step", if the answer is Yes, then I call a function module to start wf.
Now the problem is that, when I call this program "submit zprogram and return" from a user exit I get an error message 'No batch input data for screen SAPLSPO1 0100'.
