How to assign a container field value into a Object

Dear Workflowers,
 
I am trying to assign a container field value (VendorNo of type LFA1-LIFNR)
into a object (VendorObj of type LFA1) in the workflow to task container.  I
couldn't do this as the data type mismatches.
 
Is there a simple way to assign a field value into a object key field and
use that object in the workflow binding?  Pls. help.
