WebLogic to SAP

Does anyone have knowledge of implementing a workflow initiated from
WebLogic to start a requisition and generate a PO SAP and send 'status' back
WebLogic?  The 'status' is envisioned to include 'req number,' 'cost center
approval,' and 'completed PO.'  Additionally, errors in the SAP w/f need to
be reported to the WebLogic w/f admin.
 
On this same topic, if anyone has actual working experience and could advise
me of some of the potential pitfalls, it would be appreciated.
 
Last, definitely not least, is there any good reading material on this
implementation?
