Method SOFM-SEND in Workflow

Has anyone used the object method SOFM-SEND incorporated into a
workflow. I would like the workflow to pick up an existing document from
SAPoffice and send it to an internal or external (internet) address.
However I get an error that the SEND method could not be executed.
Any suggestions on how this could be implemented would be appreciated.
We are on version 46C.
