Hi Wayne,
RH_STRUC_GET is fine to use for that purpose.

Subject: Using SAP supplied Function Modules

Hi all,
I was finding it difficult to send an Email (SELFITEM / SENDTASKDESCRIPTION) to receipients maintained in a role. To get around this I have created a Business object that resolves the role to users ie: USJSMITH, via a multiline export parameter against the method.
This works fine. But in my code I am using an SAP supplied function module 'RH_STRUC_GET' to resolve the role to users via an evaluation path. Is it safe to use a function module such as this, which is not documented in the SAP library? We try as far as possible to use only documented function
modules. The obvious consideration here is the effect on running workflows if the interface of this function module is changed. In our Organization, we sometimes clone the module (if it is simple enough to do) to be safe. I am looking for some feedback on how you treat this issue in your respective
organizations. I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
