Authorisations within workflow items

Hello all,
 
Does anybody know if you can 'send' an authorisation for a particular
transaction code within a work item instead of giving the user the
authorisation for the transaction in there user record? I am trying to
restrict the use of transaction ME28 to within the workflow only but do not
know if this can be done.
