Hi John,
you can also try BLAT http://groups.yahoo.com/group/blat
on NT.
I did it and after some trials I went  back to the UNIX sendmail.

The issue is not with SAP, but with Microsoft.
There is a problem with supporting HTML in the MAPI
client. SAP solved the issue in the Exchange connector
version 2.0, but could not release the fix because
Microsoft would not acknowledge there was a problem.
There must be some business reason behind this????
Oh ...I forgot....Microsoft doesn't need a reason.
 
At this point everyone is asking "Well how the F@%$
do I solve the problem?"
 
There are two solutions:
 
1) Upgrade to the 610 server. This version is SMTP
compliant and will send your mails intact. It takes
less than 5 minutes to set up.
 
2) Use the Unix send mail connector. Most companies
have a Unix send mail server somewhere in their
landscape. By-pass "EXCHANGE" and use send-mail.
 
John would want to use solution #2, unless he wants to
up grade to the 610 server(which I would recommend).
 
If you are an NT shop, do not use the NT version of
send mail. It kinda sucks!  But then again, if you
want a science project...go for it. Beware you will
need to purchase the NT send mail connector. I think
the Unix version is....FREE.
 
The bottom line is in the new new world of shrinking
IT budgets, stick with the Unix version. It will be
safer.
