Unless I am missing something, I don't understand why you cant just insert
the value with regular elements. You can do this by doing a container
operation (What release of SAP are you running?)

Subject: Initial values for multiline element in container on CRM3.0
Hi all,
how do I maintain the initial value for a multiline import element in a
container? I can't just insert the data as I do with regular elements.
The same problem occurs with the test enviroment (tcode swus). I can't
insert any value in the multiline import value.
I hope anyone has an idea.
Thanks in advance,
Karsten
