Mapping field from CRM to R/3

Hi Rolf.
 
The question you ask is not related to workflow, but I will give you som info since help on this is not easily available. I did something similiar on a CRM3.0 system by extending CRM Business Partner with a field from R/3 Customer Master. SAP have created a document for enhancements of Business Partner data. The english version is called BUPA_CRM30_EN.doc (100+ pages) which shows the necessary developments for a couple of scenarios. Unfortunately I don't have the document available at present. I will send you an early german version. In any case you should search on SAPnet to get the latest version. I found a couple of errors in the logic described by the documentation. If you do not find it, post an OSS and request information on where to find it.
 
In short, what you need to do is use some userexits based on OPEN FI functionality, extend the transfer structures used in the BDOC, create some modules for handling the extra fields and of course extend the screens.
