Vanathy,

that depends what processing you want to run in that case:

1. terminating the workflow is not a good idea as the subsequent processing
would not occur for a probably largely arbitrary reason.

2. you could make the warning an error message and not allow saving without
an assigned agent

3. you could check in the workflow whether or not an agent has been assigned
(via a task or attribute check just before the general task) and in case
no-one was assigned send a message to an administrator or the user
him/herself asking to assign a user; look at the methods of object WF_TASK
on how to do this..

Subject: General Task. How to terminate the workflow if no agent
specified .....

Hi

We have created a workflow template which gets kicked on when some one
creates an Quality
notification task (QM01). This task is specified as 'General task' .

An agent has to be assigned to the Quality notification task before saving.
If agent is not assigned and try to save the task
it gives waring message. Though if you ignore and save it, the work item is
sent out to everyone in the company. How can we
avoid this and 'Terminate' the workflow for this scenario? A

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Vanathy
