workflow trace

The traces are normally deleted automatically by a batch job (after the
retention period has expired). There are no side-effects when you delete
traces, other than to annoy anyone who is deliberately using the traces to
analyze a problem.

SCOT will display the SAPconnect traces as well as activating them. If in
doubt, switch them off because it costs a lot of performance (one trace per
message sent/received)

Subject: workflow trace

Where can I find more info on workflow trace.

In our production system, when I do SWU9 I do not see any workflow trace.
List contains no data.
But when I do swu10, Delete workflow trace with test run checked, there are
lot of workflow trace.

How can I find out who started workflow trace? We do not have workflow trace
activated in our production system.
Is it safe to delete workflow trace?
Any help will be appreciated.
