Sending Attachment ?

I have a workflow this is started based on the output message control -
event created on BUS2032 (SD) sales order
document. I created a new output type ZVNT using an output medium of 9
(Work flow).
 
Does anyone know how to attach a word document to the work item from within
the work flow??
 
  I would like the word document to show up as an attachement in thier
workflow integrated inbox.
 
I'm developing the workflow on a SAP 31i system
