Agent Determination

I have detremined the agent responsible in the business object. Now suppose
this agent is a position S123456789. So this information is stored in an
attribute of the business object. I pass this business object-attribute to
the task via Expression - it does not work - any help will be appreciated.
Do I have to pad the position with some character?
