2 questions about creating a document from template

Dear workflow gurus,
 
I have 2 question about the (very neat) 'create document from template' step
in a workflow.
 
1. After the document has been created, it is stored in a container element
based on object 'wf_doc'. is there any way to pass this as an attachment to
an email step, or archive it in ixos ?
 
2. Is it possible to 'catch' values entered in the document itself at the
time of editing the document and then passing them to standard workflow
container ? or am I asking too much here, perhaps this should be done via a
form ?
