MAPIWorking on Microsoft XP Machines

Fellow Workflowers,
    We are currently using SAP Version 4.5B and Windows 95. In June of this
year we are thinking of upgrading to Windows XP. We are currently using the
SAP MAPI as a connector to MS Outlook, but we just found out that SAP MAPI
is not compatible with Windows XP.
    Has anyone run across this problem? Has anyone used SMTP instead of SAP
MAPI?

    Any help would be appreciated.
