Vacancy not created

Is anyone else out there using workflow in HR?
 
We are experiencing problems with the vacancy infotype on the position when
we move or terminate people. After completing infotype 0000 and 0001 in our
non-workflow termination action we get a pop-up to create a vacancy on the
now empty position.
 
When we build this action into a workflow (method Actions on object type
Employeet) we do not get the pop-up and the vacancy infotype on the position
remains filled.
 
Any suggestions anyone
