Both in different ways, actually:
 
There are various applications for document archiving, where for =
example in
parked documents the scanned image of the invoice is added to the =
workflow
as an attachment. Object type IMAGE is a good starting point.
 
As per data archiving, workflows in productive system need to be =
archived
from time to time, depending on how many and how big and how often they =
are
started. Try SWW_SARA, and there is also a table size monitoring =
transaction
for workflow, but I forget what the transaction code is (anyone?).
Also, you can of course, as with everything in R/3 and beyond, use =
workflow
to interact with archiving as a function. Look at object types ARCHIVE =
and
ARCHLISTWI.

Hello folks,
 
does anybody of you have experience by using sap business workflow with
data archiving? What are the scenarios you are using it?
