Hi Elias,
You don't say what version you are on... this makes a difference
to where and how you can restart.

Not promising anything but you could try:

Transaction SWPC or function module SWP_WORKFLOW_INSTANCE_CONTINUE

These are used to solve a similar problem that can occur during a
system crash.

Subject: Kick start the next workitem after the previous one was
complete

Experts,

I have a workitem that is completed (and hence Flavio's and Michel's
suggestions
for completing a workitem a few days ago does not apply) and the workflow
has the status 'in process'.
However, the workflow does not continue. Is there a function module,
transaction
etc. to kick start the workflow again, i.e. to trigger the next step in a
workflow?
I found and tried the function module SWP_CONTINUE_WITH_NEXT_WIS but did not
get it to work.
This is at least the second time within a few days that I have encountered
this problem and I would really
appreciate it if someone has a solution.

Regards,
Elias Bergan
