The appraisal workflow in workplace

Hello there, I need some help if anyone has any ideas or experience with
the following. We are working in SAP 4.6C.

For appraisals, SAP provide two workflow templates for appraisals that work
together and they recommend you clone for your own purposes. They are
WS01000105 (PdvAppraisal) and WS01000108 (PdvAppEmpl). The idea behind
these workflows is that an appraisal is created for an employee. They
receive a decision workitem in their inbox (step 41 in WS01000108) where
they accept or reject the appraisal. If they approve in effect the workflow
ends, if they reject, the a workitem is sent back to their manager who can
change the appraisal and start the process again (Step 86 / TS01200195 in
WS01000108). This whole process works fine in the SAPGUI.

We create an Appraisal in ESS via Employee Self Service NAB -> My Work ->
Career Planning -> Appraisal Create Appraisals. This brings up a screen
with a list of all the appraisal models. One can then be selected where the
scores can be selected and text boxes filled with appraisal details. All of
this is displayed nicely on HTML pages and has been set up previously using
transaction OOAM (Change Appraisal Model).

Our problems occur when the workflow comes into play via workplace.

- First of all, the decision workitem sent to the employee step 41) doesn't
have the appraisal as an attachment in workplace (it does in SAPGUI). Any
ideas on this? Even if the attachment were displayed, would it be displayed
in the same HTML format as when creating the appraisal via ESS or
displaying it via ESS?

- Second, if the employee rejects the appraisal, a workitem is sent to
their manager who can edit the appraisal again. Step 86 / TS1200195 takes
care of this by executing method EDIT on object BUS7026. This calls
function module RHPA_SHOW_APPRAISAL, which works fine in the SAPGUI, but
doesn't show a lot when run in the Workplace. How would I go about showing
the appraisal details from the workitem, the same as they are displayed via
the ESS Menu.

Do we create a Web Transaction for the task?
Should I be invoking object/method FORM -> HTMLProcess?
I presume MY_APP_CREATE internet service is used when creating an appraisal
via ESS (which calls internet service MY_APP_DUMMY). Internet Service
MY_APPRAISALS gives a list of appraisals and then displays the appraisal in
workplace via the ESS menu. Do I need to clone these services to
display/change just one appraisal. How would I link this into the workflow?

OSS Note 353947 addresses WEB usage of Appraisals. It mentions Internet
Services WEB_EVAL_LIST1, WEB_EVAL_LIST2 and WEB_EVAL_LIST3 which are
delivered with the WAO (Web Add On). Could these be of use? Our system
doesn't have these services. How do we go about getting these Web Add Ons
if required?

I greatly appreciate if anyone can give me some leads to go on here.

Regards,
Branco Marcina
