MSTAE Attribute in BUS1001

We want to use the MSTAE attribute from MARA in the BUS1001 business
object.
 
If I try to add the attribute using the ABAP dictionary field proposals,
MSTAE is already
included in the list of selected attributes.  However I may be going blind,
but I can't find
it in the attributes of business object BUS1001.  Every other selected
field (Industry,
Division, etc) is there, but no Cross-Plant Material Status.
 
Any suggestions and comments welcome.
