Dianne,

There are many reasons why an update terminate can occur - including
database problems etc. The most common cause in my experience however is
incorrectly configured number ranges - eg the same change document is issued
again and the database rejects the update. You should enlist OSS and your
Basis support team to help track this down. Often a short dump also occurs
at the same time so you could use ST22 to see if there is a related short
dump (or you can get to it through SM13).

For future reference, if you ever see update terminates happening in your
Production environment, you should have someone investigate it immediately
as it is possible for these to cause application/database inconsistencies.

Good morning all. I am working on a standard task to display a document.
The task works fine, but when I try to trigger it using the actual changed
document, I get the following error. I am in system 3.1H. Can any one
offer a suggestion as to what this is and the correction?

 Update was terminated
