Absolutely!
And once again a reminder that there was excellent ASUG presentation with
screencams from not just one but FOUR of our most highly respected
consultants. You can find this on www.ASUG.com (ASUG members) or the SAP
service portal (http://service.sap.com/webflow media-> partner
presentations).
It's tough for you and your company that you missed the excellent Q&A
section afterwards.

Anyone know the dates for the next ASUG conference ;-)

I don't have the Note number in my head but if you search the application
area "BC-BMT-WFM" for "storage" or "archive" you'll find a note describing
how to calculate the work item table space.

Hi,

>From my experience there are three good reasons to use the archive system
instead of the deletion programs:
1. Deleting the workitems via the archive system runs faster than the
deletion programs rswwwide and rswwhide. This is very important to us
because we delete several hundred thousand workitems each week.
2. Using the archiving system insures that you are only deleting workitems
that have been completed or cancelled and that are not part of a
higher-level workflow that is still "in process".
3. The corresponding workitem history is deleted which is difficult to do
with the rswwhide program.

There are some OSS notes regarding workitem archiving and deleting which
should also be helpful.

Hi All,

I was wondering what benefit you get out of archiving workitems vs. just
using the deletion programs to get rid of them. Since you cannot ever get
the data back and the only reporting functionality that I can find is a list
of workitem ID's that get deleted, what benefit is archiving?

Thanks,

Todd
