Automatic Process of WI

Hello John!
 
You want to change the functionality of the object. To change functionality
it is recomended to use a userexit.
There is however no wrong in trigger the workflow from the userexit by
trigger a customer made event.

I am a new developer, I am developing a workflow where, after creation of
the SAP object (sales doc) and save, I immediately want the creator to be
queried (not to have to go to the WI inbox) as to if the object is in a
correct state for further processing, if so then workflow progresses, if
not then a WI held in creators inbox for later processing, should i be
looking at a user exit to give me this ability? any advice welcomed.
