Agent assignment fixed

I`ve managed to resolve this issue.

I was reading the position number into the PP_MGR field but the number was
not prefixed with an 'S'.
As soon as I`d noticed and resolved this the task worked fine.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks for your help.
The task has already been set up as a general task.
If I use the agent assignment dropdown on the task itself and then key in
the position the task seems to work fine.
However if I use the workflow container element PP_MGR I get the following
error message on the workflow log.

Activity 184 role '5001432'. No agent found.

The message seems to suggest that the system may not be recognising the
numeric value as a position.

Any ideas please?

Menand,

You need to make sure that the task has Agents Assigned that include the
position you are assigning in the workflow template. The way I like to think
about it is that the task agents specify all the people who can possibly
perform
the task, and the workflow template agents specify who can do the task for
each
specific workflow instance. Check that the Agent Assignment indicator is
green
on the control tab of the task in the workflow template - if not, you need
to
assign agents to it (clicking the button next to it will take you there - by
the
way, I'm talking about a 4.6 GUI here - in earlier releases this may not be
so
convenient). You can assign the task to all the possible positions that
could
execute it, or (if you're feeling lazy, or can't be sure of the eventual
scope
of the task) classify the task as a general task (i.e. potentially performed
by
anybody).

I hope this helps,

Hello All

I was hoping for some help with Agent assignments for a given task.
I`m attempting to dynamically assign agents to an approval task depending on
a cost field.

I`m moving a selected position i.e. 50014312 into a Workflow container field
called PP_MGR.
PP_MGR is set up like SWP_AGENT.

When position 5001432 is passed into PP_MGR the task doesn`t seem to go
anywhere.

Any help would be really appreciated.
