Getting username linked to a position

Hi
 
At some stage in a purchase request approval workflow template, I want to
check that a workflow container element 'selected agent' (whose value is a
username) which is an attribute of Object Type Z_BUS2105 (based on BUS2105)
is contained in a multiline workflow container element 'possible agents'
(which is a list of positions) which is also an attribute of Z_BUS2105.
Therefore, I would like to change the attribute 'selected agent' from a
username into a position.
Does anyone know if there is a standard function module in 4.0B that gives
the position a username is linked to?
