Deadline Monitoring problems

Hi Ron,
As you are in 4.6B, it might be a good idea to use the "Model Deadline
Monitoring"
wizard (it's in the workflow builder menu "Wizards" to rebuild the pattern
and then
reactivate your workflow.

At least this way you'll know you haven't missed anything.
Suggest you also check OSS - note 329386, 303740, 202736 would all seem
relevant.

If you are not used to looking up OSS notes for workflow, best results are
obtained
by entering:
Release  = your R/3 release
Component =  BC-BMT-WFM
and then add any terms that might help e.g. "deadline".

Subject: Deadline Monitoring problems

Hi all,

Our version of SAP is 4.6B.
I have created a simple Workflow that has modelled Deadline Monitoring in
the first step.

I have made the following settings in the step definition of the step for
which the deadline is monitored:
* Activated the outbound Processing obsolete.
* Defined date and time on the Latest end tab page and entered an
Event name on the Modelled tab.

I have inserted a Process Control step in the branch after the outcome the
Deadline is missed and the Function of this Process Control step is to set
the 1st Workflow step (the one that missed the deadline) to obsolete.

In testing it became clear that this was not working correctly so I placed
steps in both the Processing obsolete and the Work item processed branches
for testing purposes.

The incorrect result is that after the Deadline is missed the Workflow
processing continued down the Work item processed branch.

Has anyone experienced this problem and perhaps have a solution?

Thanks and regards,

Ron Johns
