Internet Mail and Lotus Notes

Hello
 
I am trying to send emails to my Customers Lotus Notes Server.
It looks like I have to follow the following steps
 
Customizing SAPConnect
Customizing SAP Internet Gateway
Customizing Lotus Domino Software
 
Who in the group did a Lotus Notes Integration from Scratch for a
Customer who is not able to send any email to Internet addresses yet?
I am not sure what I have to customize in what sequence.
 
At the moment it would be enough if I only would send emails and no
Workitems. Do I even have to customize anything in Lotus Notes for that ?
 
Any Input on that would be great
